Jessie J 'accidentally' ate an entire hash cake while touring with Chris Brown

Jessie J 'accidentally' ate an entire hash cake while touring with Chris Brown in Amsterdam.

The 'Price Tag' singer - who supported the US star before rising to fame in her own right - explained having never touched drugs in her life, she wasn't aware of what she was doing when she ate a cannabis-infused cake in the Dutch city, and ended up being rushed to hospital.

She explained:"I accidentally ate a whole hash cake in Amsterdam while I was on tour with Chris Brown. I had to call an Ambulance because I started convulsing.

"I called my mum and she was like, 'I'm glad you did it because you'll never do it again'."

The 22-year-old star - real name Jessica Cornish - also admitted she thought her"life was over"when, at the age of 18, her first record deal fell through and she suffered a minor stroke.

Jessie added to Style magazine:"It was like my life was over, but my mum told me, 'When one door slams in your face, it means there's another one around the corner, waiting to be opened'. And in the end, it was a golden ticket in disguise."

While the raven-haired beauty is open about being attracted to both men and women, she revealed she has only been in love once in her life.

She said:"I've been very open about the fact I've been with girls and boys, but I've only been in love once and it's an amazing feeling."

Magnetic Man plan rock collaborations with Dave Grohl and John Lydon

Magnetic Man want to collaborate with Dave Grohl and John Lydon.

The dubstep group's latest track 'Getting Nowhere', features soul singer John Legend, but they are keen to line up some rockers for their next album.

Speaking at the NME Awards in London on Wednesday (23.02.11), band members Artwork and Benga told BANG Showbiz:"We're looking forward to saying hello to the Foo Fighters, Dave Grohl's a legend.

Dave has previously proved his dance credentials drumming on the track 'Run With the Wolves' by Prodigy, from their 2009 album 'Invaders Must Die'.

Former Sex Pistols singer John has meanwhile contributed vocals to dance outfit Leftfield's single 'Open Up' in 1993.

'I Need Air' hitmakers Magnetic Man insisted they don't have any solid plans for a second album in place yet, however, as they are concentrating on their summer, packed out with festivals and live shows.

Benga added:"We don't know too much yet, everything is one step at a time for us at the moment, it's a really, really big summer for us, so that's what we're working on and putting all our attention into at the moment."

$100 million

The 16-year-old singing sensation is worth an estimated $100 million but has a cap placed on his spending and is forced to go without if he reaches the top of his budget too soon.

He admitted: 'My money is being invested. I only have a credit card, which allows me to spend a certain amount of money every month. If I reach the limit after the first week, I won't be able to buy any more stuff until the month is over. My mom is in control of that.'

Despite the tight control placed on his finances, Justin insists he doesn't mind because he is more interested in his career than the financial rewards it brings.

He told Switzerland's Blick newspaper: 't's not that money wouldn't mean anything at all to me. But the main thing is to do what my passion is. And that's music. It's nice to get paid for that, though. Performing feels natural to me, just like walking.'

As well as controlling his finances, the 'Baby' hitmaker's mother, Patti Mallette, also keeps a close eye on the fan mail the young star receives.

Asked about having underwear thrown at him on stage, he said: 'My Mom doesn't like it when that happens. Sometimes they have phone numbers written on them. I don't know what happens to them.'

She explained: 'There have always been periods that have been a struggle, but I feel like everything has definitely been fated. Sometimes it's difficult, because I feel like a vampire. I feel, like, so old sometimes and it makes me feel jaded.'

Peaches ' whose father is singer and activist Bob Geldof ' also admitted she feels 'upset' by how 'obnoxiously' attractive her boyfriend Thomas Cohen is.

She told heat magazine: 'You know when you have, like, an obnoxiously hot boyfriend? When they're just ridiculously hot and you're jus the obviously subordinate partner? It's so upsetting.

' just feel like I have this ridiculously fit boyfriend and I'm just like, 'Raah!' in the corner. Personality-wise, I feel like we're a good match, but sometimes there's an obviously fitter partner. '

Motley Crue's Nikki Sixx to release new book and album

Rock Icon and Syndicated Radio Show Host Nikki Sixx will release 'This Is Gonna Hurt: Music, Photography And Life Through The Distorted Lens Of Nikki Sixx", a follow up to his New York Times bestseller, 'The Heroin Diaries' in April. The book, part photo chronicle and part journal, will be accompanied by the release of an original soundtrack from SIXX: A.M., an 11-track companion piece to the book, which will be available from May 2nd.

''ve always had an eye for the oddities in life. Even as a kid I saw the world in my own way and thought most things that were different were beautiful and magical. Even things that other people thought were horrifying and disgusting and weird. . . . People say I have a distorted lens. I think I see things as they really are,' said SIXX. He continues, ' felt the need to bring my visions to life. This project is raw, it's what I see and feel through writing, through photos, through video and through music.'

'This Is Gonna Hurt' is part photo, part journal - a collection of compelling snapshots and stories that capture the rage, love, optimism, darkness, and determination that shape his work. Told with the raw authenticity that defined his New York Times bestseller 'The Heroin Diaries', 'This Is Gonna Hurt' chronicles Sixx's experience, from references to his early years filled with toxic waste to his success with Mötley Crüe, his death from an OD and rebirth to his addictions to music, photography, and love along with the journey of photographing these images over the past couple of years.

The accompanying soundtrack from SIXX: A.M., which consists of Sixx, Dj Ashba and James Michael, is a chilling, heavy take on the concept of the book and photography.

"This Is Gonna Hurt"will include dozens of Nikki's images and will be the first public viewing of his photography. The book and soundtrack both incorporate the stories behind the pictures and how they came to be, including interviews with the subjects so readers can see"what life is like for those whom society has labeled as freaks."

The first single from Sixx:AM - 'Lies of the Beautiful People,' will be released in April, the video can be viewed here: SixxSense.com

'This is Gonna Hurt' the book, will be released through Harper Collins imprint William Morrow and the accompanying soundtrack through Eleven Seven Music.

Smashing Pumpkins new bassist was Siamese Dream cover star

Billy Corgan just discovered that his new bassist was one of the little girls pictured on the cover of Siamese Dream.

Siamese Dream was Smashing Pumpkins' breakthrough album, released in 1993 and featured two little girls hugging on the cover.

The band's ringleader, Billy Corgan, just discovered that the bassist he enlisted to play in the latest incarnation of his long-term musical project was one of those girls.

Corgan has just tweeted, 'Just found out the weirdest news: our bass player Nicole just admitted she is one of the girls on the cover of 'Siamese Dream'.'

This would be his new bassist Nicole Fiorentino, who was previously in Spinnerette and Veruca Salt.

NME says that Fiorentino told Corgan she didn't divulge the information until now because she thought that it might jeopardise her chances of joining the Smashing Pumpkins.

Rihanna being sued by David LaChapelle for his ideas

Rihanna is being sued by David LaChapelle, who claims she stole his ideas for the music video to her single 'S&M'.

The fashion photographer ' who has shot celebrities for magazines such as Rolling Stone, GQ and Vanity Fair ' is taking legal action as he alleges 'the music video is directly derived from and substantially similar to the LaChapelle works'.

In the lawsuit suit, LaChapelle claims Rihanna had appropriated eight of his images into the video ' directed by Melina Matsoukas ' including a shot where she is shown in profile against a blue background with a piece of candy on her tongue.

He said the video copied the 'composition, total concept, feel, tone, mood, theme, colours, props, settings, decors, wardrobe and lighting' of his work.

Big Country announce more dates

Following their recent string of sell-out comeback dates, legendary Scottish rock band Big Country have confirmed a new run of UK tour dates for April 2011.

The first show Big Country played with new lead singer, Mike Peters, from fellow Celtic rockers The Alarm, took place on New Year's Eve at the ABC in Glasgow. It was a hugely emotional night, with the sell-out crowd giving Mike their full support on his Big Country debut. At the end of the show Peters said to the crowd, 'Thanks for looking after me.'

Approaching their 30th anniversary, the run of confirmed dates for April will continue to mark a period of celebration that will not only embrace Big Country's illustrious past but also honour the life and times of original lead singer, guitarist and co-founder Stuart Adamson, who passed away so tragically in 2001.

With Big Country fans wholeheartedly embracing the first set of tour dates, the national press were quick to follow suit, with News of The World delivering the ultimate accolade by declaring, 'Stuart Adamson would have approved.'

"I first met Stuart on stage at a U2 concert in Hammersmith Palais back in 1983", says Mike Peters."Bono introduced us to his audience as being"part of the new breed"and Stuart was literally passed up onto the stage by the fans and I shook his hand as I handed him a guitar - an unforgettable entrance. The last time I saw him was also on stage with Big Country at Glasgow Barrowlands for the last night of the Final Fling tour in 2000, when we sang Neil Young's 'Rockin' In The Free World' together. When Bruce Watson called and asked me to sing for Big Country it was something I didn't need to think twice about. It's been an incredible honour getting to know the music of Big Country intimately and a pleasure to be around such great musicians and fans alike. I find singing the lyrics of Stuart Adamson very life affirming'

Co-founder member Bruce Watson added, 'Both Jamie and I had a blast playing with my old mates Tony and Mark. Mike brings so much to this band and is the hardest working man I know. I am convinced he wears a superman costume under that jacket'.

The new line up consists of:

Vanessa Hudgens says she and Zac Efron are 'figuring things out'

The 22-year-old actress split from the 23-year-old actor in December 2010 due to the pressure of their careers, but Vanessa is hopeful they may be able to get back together in the future.

She told Details magazine: 'We're still friends. Who knows what the future will bring? We're figuring things out."

Rumours have circulated that they have already reunited but nothing has been confirmed.

Despite her relationship woes, Vanessa was able to forget about her personal problems whilst shooting new movie 'Journey 2: The Mysterious Island' in Hawaii.

The 'High School Musical' star claims she spent most of her time having her breasts sprayed with fake sweat to recreate the humidity in the jungle scenes.

She revealed: 'Throughout this whole movie we're trudging through the jungle. So, of course, we're sweating. I can't tell you how much time is spent putting oil on my chest. And Evian. Spraying Evian bottles on my chest and my arms and my forehead, but mostly my chest. Just to look like I'm sweating. But your boobs don't really sweat, cleavage doesn't sweat. So it's kind of funny."

And Vanessa's shimmering cleavage impressed at least one of her male co-stars ' screen icon Sir Michael Caine.

The actress claims the 77-year-old actor has been flirting with her in-between takes.

She laughed: 'Not only is he amazingly, stupidly talented, but he still kind of hits on me. All the time. If it was anybody else, I'd be like, 'Who the hell do you think you are?' But because it's Michael Caine, I'm like, 'Sock it to me more, baby, come on!'"

Foo Fighters release second album clip

With the recently leaked snippet of opener 'Bridge Burning' having surpassed 500,000 plays in one week, Foo Fighters have now unleashed a second morsel of hard rock goodness from their upcoming seventh studio album, out April 12 on Roswell/RCA.

FF fans jonesing for another several seconds of new material should head posthaste to http://www.foofighters.fm and move the virtual tuner to 101.5 for this new taste.

The album received its first public airing at a surprise gig Friday, January 28 at the minuscule Velvet Jones club in Santa Barbara, where the band ripped through the entire record from start to finish--and followed up with a crushing live collection of greatest hits and rarely played deep cuts including 'Wattershed' from the band's self-titled 1995 debut.

In other live FF news, the band has announced its first U.S. show (so far) of 2011: a May 21 headlining appearance at the Hangout Festival in Gulf Shores, AL. Tickets go on sale 10 a.m. CST Wednesday, February 2, and will be available via http://Hangoutmusicfest.com or 888-512-SHOW. The show is the second of many domestic dates to be announced in an upcoming world tour, the first being a May 27 appearance at the Sasquatch! Festival in George, WA. Other recently announced FF dates abroad include headlining appearances at the UK's Isle of Wight, the Netherlands' PinkPop, Wulheide Stadium in Berlin, and numerous others across the UK and Europe including an already sold out 130,000 capacity July 2&3 headline 'weekender' at the Milton Keynes Bowl in the UK.

Foo Fighters' still untitled seventh album, produced by Butch Vig and mixed by Alan Moulder, was recorded entirely on analog tape in the garage of Dave Grohl's home in California's San Fernando Valley. The new record also marks the Foo Fighters' first full length effort with legendary producer Butch Vig, who produced new tracks 'Wheels' and 'Word Forward' on 2009's Greatest Hits and with whom Dave Grohl (of course) first worked on Nirvana's classic Nevermind. Nirvana co-founder Krist Novoselic also makes a cameo, contributing bass and accordion to ' Should Have Known,' while former Nirvana touring guitarist and longtime extended FF family member Pat Smear now joins the permanent FF core of Grohl, Taylor Hawkins, Nate Mendel and Chris Shiflett.

He explained:"They're a little hurricane in my house. At 7 o'clock in the morning, there's a party going on! My mother told me, 'Ricky you're never going to sleep ever again in your life, now because they're babies and when their teenagers because they don't come back home!'

"So, it's getting used to the idea of not being able to sleep."

The 'She Bangs' hitmaker also revealed he has had to turn his tour bus into a playroom for the twins, so they are able to accompany him on the road.

Justin Timberlake took on latest role to 'feel better' about himself

Justin Timberlake took on the role of Boo Boo in 'Yogi Bear' to 'feel better' about himself.

The singer-and-actor ' who provides the voice of the little bear in the new animated movie ' has felt guilty about young girls being fans of his raunchy music so wanted to do something that wouldn't be inappropriate for children to watch.

When asked why he took on the role of Boo Boo, Justin replied: 'Guilt. I've had parents come to me and say: 'My daughter really loves the song 'SexyBack'. I say, 'Oh great. How old is your daughter?' expecting them to say she goes to university. They say, 'She's nine.'

'So that made me feel really bad as a person. And I felt it was irresponsible of those parents - my music is explicit. So I did this film so that I would feel better about myself.'

As well as feeling guilty, the 30-year-old heartthrob says another reason he agreed to star in the movie ' which sees Dan Aykroyd voice Yogi - was because it brought back happy memories.

He explained in an interview with the Daily Mail newspaper: 'As a kid I liked to entertain. I'm an only child and I was obviously really bored, so I would imitate Scooby-Doo and Boo Boo for my parents. Yogi and Boo Boo are iconic characters - a duo like Batman and Robin. I laughed at them as a kid, so I think nostalgia is the biggest reason I did the film.'

Nigel Kennedy UK tour dates

Following the staggering success of his UK performances of Vivaldi's Four Seasons in 2010, including a stunning, sold out show at London's Royal Albert Hall, Nigel Kennedy has announced that he will be returning to the UK this September for an extensive tour of the UK, again performing his exhilarating and unique take on Vivaldi's Four Seasons as well as his own brand new composition, the Four Elements.

This marks the world premiere of the Four Elements. Composed for the Orchestra of Life and voices, the Four Elements is a highly descriptive composition, inspired by the elements of earth, water, air and fire, which takes the listener on a journey of exhilaration, contemplation and celebration.

For over twenty-five years, Nigel Kennedy has been acknowledged as one of the world's leading violin virtuosos and is, without doubt, one of the most important violinists Britain has ever produced. His virtuoso technique, unique talent and mass appeal have brought fresh perspectives to both the classical and contemporary repertoire. He is the best selling classical violinist of all time.

To this day, Kennedy refuses to play by any one set of rules. Over the past decade, as well as recording Bach, Vivaldi, Mozart, Beethoven Mlynarski and Karlowicz, he has laid his personal instrumental stamp on the songs of Jimi Hendrix, the Doors and Kate Bush; performed the violin intro to Baba O'Riley on stage with the Who; invited Jeff Beck onto the Prom stage with the NKQ; explored traditional klezmer music with the Polish band, Kroke, and dug deep into the roots of modern jazz on the Blue Note Sessions, an album he recorded in NYC in 2006 with legends Ron Carter and Jack DeJohnette.

Following his earlier excursion into the self-penned tracks of the Nigel Kennedy Quintet's Very Nice Album, Kennedy's latest album, Shhh!, confirms the maverick status and omnivorous musical taste of one of Britain's finest and most unpredictable musicians. ' am a natural improviser. I can't just always stand up and follow a score,' says Kennedy, the virtuoso violinist who has been ploughing his own furrow ever since as a 16 year old student he joined the jazz violinist Stephane Grappelli on stage at the Carnegie Hall ' to the alarm of his classical teachers at the Juilliard School. Shhh! Was recorded at one of rock's fabled residential country studios, Rockfield, in South Wales with the NKQ, which is made up of the finest jazz musicians Poland has to offer: Tomasz Grzegorski (tenor sax, soprano sax&bass clarinet); Piotr Wylezol (piano&Hammond); Adam"Szabas"Kowalewski (contrabass&electric bass) and Krzysztof Dziedzic (drums).

Now dividing his time between homes in London and Krakow, where he lives with his Polish-born wife of 10 years, Agnieszka, Kennedy has never felt more free to pursue his boundary-free musical objectives. ''m enjoying my music much more than ever as I'm playing exactly what I want - it's become a deeper experience and enjoyment for me, savouring the moment more, not thinking about the future or the past but thinking about now.'

Nigel says"I couldn't be happier to be bringing my new orchestra back to the UK for these dates with the Four Seasons and my new work - they are brilliant young players at the top of their form."
